Advent Week 1 & Communion: “Hope: Into the Wilderness”
Recalling the message of Isaiah, John identifies himself as a “voice crying in the wilderness.” Jesus was sent from the waters of baptism into the wilderness. The Christmas story is a message for those who live in the wilderness. The wilderness is very much with us in 2018. But, we are not alone.
