Holy Week & Easter Services
The culmination of the Lenten season at Messiah are our Holy Week and Easter services. Each service has beautiful music, a message of hope and a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Sunday, March 25 @ 8:45 am* and 10:30 am*°
Celebrate at both services with palms and the annual palm processional! Wear a costume, if you’d like (we’ll provide the attire), and join in as we wave palms and sing to re-enact Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem!
Thursday, March 29 @ 7 pm*
(Music begins at 6:45 pm for reflection and prayer)
“The Last Supper” drama returns! A cast of 13 will portray the events of that last evening when Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, and more. A poignant, highly visual worship service at 7 pm with Holy Communion served by Jesus and his disciples. Great for kids ages nine and up.
Friday, March 30 @ 7:30 pm
This impactful worship experience will feature our Chancel Choir offering favorite Lenten selections chosen to enhance the telling of the story of the final hours of our Savior’s life on earth. The beautiful poignant music will be accompanied by piano, organ, and violin. Join us for a contemplative reflection on Jesus’ death.
Sunday, April 1 @ 8:45 am* and 10:30 am*°
Celebrate at both services, when we rejoice that He is alive! At 8:45 am,* celebrate with brass, bells, choir and organ in a traditional service. The 10:30 am*° service celebrates with both secular and sacred music led by our worship band and praise choir.
° This service will be American Sign Language (ASL) interpreted.
* This service will be live streamed for those that find it more convenient to watch in the comfort of their homes.
