In light of the new COVID restrictions, and out of abundance of caution for our community, “Jump in the Car & Follow the Star: Living Nativity 2020” has been re-formatted:
Christmas Drive-Thru
Three Wise Men • Carolers • Candle Pick Up • Keepsake Ornament
Sunday, December 13 • 4-5 pm
You are invited to jump in the car and drive though Messiah’s parking lot on Sunday, December 13, 4-5 pm, for a quick Christmas Drive-Thru. Meet the three Wise Men (rumor has it Pastor Steve may be in costume!), hear a Christmas carol from our carolers, and pick up your Christmas Eve candles, glow sticks for the kids, and a keepsake Living Nativity ornament (while supplies last).
No ticket or reservation is required for this new event.
Can’t make it to the drive-thru? Don’t worry – additional Christmas Eve candles will be available in the church atrium Monday, December 14 through Wednesday, December 23 during office hours (Monday through Thursday 9 am-3 pm and Friday 9 am-noon). If you’d like us to mail Christmas Eve candles, leave a message (with your address and how many candles you’d like) for Carolyn Loeffler in the church office at (763) 473-6968 ext 101, or email at cloeffler@messiahchurch.org by 2 pm Thursday, December 17 to ensure they arrive on time.
The culmination of the Christmas season at Messiah is our Candlelight Christmas Eve services. Each service has beautiful music, a message of hope, and the tradition of candlelight. Join us for Christmas Eve Online Worship, when we’ll light our candles together as we end each worship service with Silent Night: Wednesday, December 23 at 7 pm, or Thursday, December 24 at 2 pm, 8 pm, 9 pm and 11 pm. A 20-minute in-person worship, “Gather at the Manger,” will be offered on Thursday, December 24 at 5 pm. Click below for all the details. We may not be together in person this Christmas, but we’ll be together in the candlelight of Christmas. Christmas is not cancelled!
