The Lion King
Sunday, July 7
Something Worth Fighting For – Mufasa said to Simba, who would one day be king: “You have forgotten who you are and so have forgotten me. Look inside yourself. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the Circle of Life.” Who does God say you are, and what happens when you fight for that? Hear more on Sunday, July 7 at 8:45 and 10:30 am.
Special Event: Join us in the parking lot on Sunday, July 7 between services (9:55-10:25 am) for a special half-hour performance by the competitive young adult drum line group, River City Rhythm! Watch them perform and learn more about drumming.

Wonder
Sunday, July 14
What Do You See? – How do we see the people around us? How do others see us? As we will discover in the movie Wonder, maybe what’s needed in this world is to change the way we see. Jesus also had an important message about the transformative power of kindness. It can truly make each of us a “wonder.” Hear more on Sunday, July 14 at 8:45 and 10:30 am.
Special Event: Several Messiah families will be hosting Wonder movie nights in their own homes July 1-13. Contact Kami Pohl, Director of Community Engagement, for information on hosting, or getting connected to a movie night near you! The Youth will be hosting their own movie night on Monday, July 8. Contact Sami Tierney, Director of Youth and Family Ministry, for location and more information.

Hear more on Sunday, July 21 at 8:45 and 10:30 am.

The Greatest Showman
Sunday, July 28
The Greatest Showman – The Greatest Showman is the story of PT Barnum and the circus he created – “the greatest show on earth.” He took the “curiosities and oddities” and accepted them and gave them value. What if we became the place of acceptance for the people the world will not accept? Maybe it is time for us to join the “circus.” Hear more on Sunday, July 28 at 8:45 and 10:30 am.
Special Events: Join us on Wednesday, July 24 at 6:30 pm for a special free movie night in the sanctuary, complete with popcorn! Sit in the pews or bring your own blankets and pillows to sit on the floor in front. Kids – feel free to wear your pajamas! This family-friendly movie is rated PG and runs 1 hour 46 minutes. (Parents, click here for further information on the movie rating.) Then on Sunday, July 28, following each service (9:45-10:30 am and 11:30 am-12 pm), look for jugglers, cotton candy, clowns, balloon animals and more, as the circus comes to Messiah! Local Plymouth Magician Matt Dunn will perform two mini shows at 10 and 10:15 am. All are welcome!
