Carrying on our annual tradition of honoring Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy, on Monday, January 21, 265 people gathered at the Medina Entertainment Center to assemble and pack 5,091 health kits for disaster relief in the United States. While many participants were Messiah members, many were not from our church – yet all gathered to serve side-by-side. The atmosphere was festive with the joy of service, lifted up by the music of World Beat Connection and the words of Pastor Steve Richards. Thanks to all who organized the event, as well as all who participated.
Along with the 325 kits packed during our Living Nativity event in December, we sent a total of 5,416 kits to UMCOR, on their way to help where needed across the United States. Thank you for making an impact!
