Early Response Basic Training

Interested in volunteering for disaster relief through UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief)? Become an Early Response Team (ERT) member! This training gives you the credentials and skills to enter areas affected by floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, and other disasters. ERTs remove debris, clean out flood-damaged homes, and help prevent further property damage while providing a caring Christian presence. You must have completed this training and have a successful background check on file with UMCOR in order to volunteer. The next Early Response Basic Training is Tuesday, May 30, 9:30 am-5 pm at Best Western Kelly Inn in St. Cloud (100 4th Ave S). Five members of Messiah, including Linda S, are trained Early Response volunteers and would be happy to talk to anyone interested.
