Parents, coaches, educators, Scout leaders, ministry leaders, grandparents and all caring adults who engage with teenagers and pre-teens – you are invited to a FREE community seminar on understanding mental health in our teenagers. This 4-part series continues on Tuesday, June 2 via Zoom. Join us at 7 pm for a virtual screening of the film, More than Sad: Teen Depression by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). The film covers mental health conditions, depression, warning signs of suicide, demystifies treatment, and encourages those who are struggling to seek help. We welcome presenter Cassandra Linkenmeyer, MN Area Director for AFSP. After the film viewing and presentation, we’ll feature local community partners who have provided us with information on their available mental health services.
This virtual event is free and open to the public, but requires registration. Register here: https://mnmts2.attendease.com. Questions? Contact Sami Tierney, Director of Youth & Family Ministry, at stierney@messiahchurch.org.
