The Last Word is Life

Throughout Lent we have listened to Jesus’ final words spoken from the cross — words of forgiveness, promise, love, anguish, longing, and trust. On this Easter morning, we remember that those words were not spoken into silence or defeat. The resurrection reveals that death does not get the last word, God does. Easter proclaims that the life Jesus entrusted into God’s hands has been raised, restored, and released into the world for us.
