You are invited to Messiah Church to celebrate Holy Week & Easter Sunday – the life, death & resurrection of Jesus.
Palm Sunday
Sunday, March 24 @ 8:30 am and 10:30 am CT
We’ll wave palms during our opening song as we remember Jesus’ triumphant but humble entry into Jerusalem during the last week of his life. We’ll end the service with the presentation of a life-sized cross as we prepare our hearts for His death and resurrection.
In person, online live at MessiahChurch.org/live, or on demand later at MessiahChurch.org/live/ondemand.
Good Friday
Friday, March 29 @ 7:30 pm CT
Good Friday Worship – Service of the Nails – is a series of readings, responses, silent reflection, and prayer designed to help us enter deeply into the meaning of Good Friday and the good news of the cross. Our Chancel Choir, piano, and violin will offer the beautiful music.
In person, online live at MessiahChurch.org/live, or on demand later at MessiahChurch.org/live/ondemand.
Easter Sunday
Sunday, March 31 @ 8:30 am and 10:30 am CT
Celebrate at two services, when we rejoice that He is alive! Join us at 8:30 am for a traditional Easter service complete with bells and brass OR at 10:30 am for a contemporary Easter service with our worship band…both with special music and the Easter message Making All Things New.
In person, online live at MessiahChurch.org/live, or on demand later at MessiahChurch.org/live/ondemand.
Easter Egg Hunt
Sunday, March 31 @ 9:45 am
All kids (through 5th grade) are invited to an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday between worship services (9:30-10:30 am). We’ll gather in the atrium first (near the sanctuary doors) then the hunt begins at 9:45 am, followed by Easter crafts and activities in Heritage Hall. If you join us for worship too, all kids will receive an Easter gift! Everyone is welcome!
NOTE: On Easter Sunday, there is no KID Street Sunday School. Families are invited to worship together. The nursery, for children birth through age 3, will be available at both services (on the main level).
* Worship times listed are Central Time (CT).
Easter Offering
Each year, Messiah Church selects two organizations to receive our special Easter Offering. Your 2024 Easter Offering is a gift to Bloom Early Learning & Child Care and Minnesota FoodShare:
Bloom Early Learning & Child Care is a non-profit early learning center located here at Messiah Church, with a special mission to make the highest quality childcare, programs, and curriculum accessible to the entire community. The Easter offering supports the Shirley Robinson Scholarship Fund, which provides tuition assistance for children of low-income families, allowing parents to work while their children receive otherwise unaffordable quality care. For more information on Bloom, visit www.bloomearlylearning.org.
March is Minnesota FoodShare month, and our Easter Offering supports this drive with funds and food essentials. The Minnesota FoodShare campaign envisions a future where all Minnesotans have access to healthy food and no one struggles with food insecurity. It brings the community together to help stock nearly 300 food shelves statewide. We are also collecting these specific items that are in high demand at the food shelves: cereal, cooking oil, peanut butter, jelly, canned meat, canned fruit, baby formula, and small packages of toilet paper and paper towels. All donations will be collected through Sunday, March 31 and can be dropped off in the marked bins in the atrium at Messiah on Sundays or during church office hours (Monday-Thursday 9 am–5 pm and Friday 9 am-12 pm). Your offering and donations specifically support the local food shelves at Interfaith Outreach and ICA.
Give to the Easter Offering online by selecting “Easter Offering,” or by mailing a check (indicate “Easter Offering” in the memo) to: Messiah Church, 17805 County Road 6, Plymouth, MN 55447. Our goal is to collect $12,000 for each of these organizations. Gifts are distributed evenly, unless designated otherwise.
