Messiah Church is excited to share a new worship experience created intentionally for our online community – Church on the Go!
Church on the Go is a casual church service designed for our digital audience. We’re putting you first, offering quality worship that can go wherever life takes you. This 30-minute worship service features an excellent message and music that is easily accessible (and shareable!) on both YouTube and Facebook:
Christmas Series: Emmanuel – God with Us
Emmanuel means God with us. The story of God in scripture is one that assures us that God desires to make home among us. This Christmas, we remember and celebrate the ways that Christ is Emmanuel – God with us; and that in Christ, we receive promises of hope, peace, joy, and love!
How is Church on the Go different from Live Stream or On Demand Worship?
Live stream and on demand worship are live recordings of worship happening in the sanctuary. These options will continue to be available, both live (at www.MessiahChurch.org/live) and on demand (at www.MessiahChurch.org/live/ondemand), for our 8:30 am Traditions and 10:30 am Journey worship services. Church on the Go, on the other hand, has been designed for a “digital first” audience. This means that the worship length is shorter, around half an hour, and both visuals and sound have been chosen intentionally to create the best online worship experience.
How can I worship with Church on the Go?
You will find Church on the Go every Sunday in Advent (November 27-December 18) on both our YouTube channel (at youtube.com/@MessiahChurchMN) and Facebook page (at www.facebook.com/MessiahChurchMN). Please subscribe and like our pages for up-to-date notifications, then share these links with your friends, and invite them to worship with us! You can also access Church on the Go through Messiah’s website, right here on this page (at www.MessiahChurch.org/onthego).
Why is Church on the Go only available during Advent/Christmas?
We know how busy the weeks leading up to Christmas are for families and households of all ages. We also know that holidays are a time when many people are seeking a new faith community, and looking for the comforting presence of Christ with them. Our prayer is that Church on the Go can bring a word of hope to busy people during this season. We will also use these four weeks of Church on the Go to learn and evaluate the best ways to worship as an online community in the future.
